Buttermilk – 0.5 Cup
All Purpose Flour – 1 Cup
Cornmeal – 0.5 Cup
Cajun Seasoning – 1 Tbsp
Salt – 0.5 Tsp
black pepper – 0.5 Tsp
Oil (for frying) – 2 Cups
French Rolls – 2 Pieces
Shredded Lettuce – 1 Cup
Tomato (sliced) – 1 Medium
Remoulade Sauce – 0.5 Cup

Directions

Step 1

Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.

Step 2

In a bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Heat oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).

Step 4

Dredge shrimp in seasoned flour mixture and fry in batches for 2–3 minutes until golden and crispy.

Step 5

Drain shrimp on paper towels.

Step 6

Slice rolls, spread remoulade sauce, add fried shrimp, lettuce, and tomato.

Step 7

Serve hot with fries or coleslaw.
