Directions

Step 1

Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.

Wash and chop the kale into bite-sized pieces.

Blanch kale in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain.

In a pan, heat sesame oil and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add kale and cook for another 3 minutes.

Mix doenjang, soy sauce, and a tablespoon of water in a small bowl to create a sauce.

Julienne the carrot and lightly sauté in a pan until slightly tender.

Set aside with the kale.
