  • 1 red pepper (medium, sliced thinly)
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1/4 cups hoisin sauce
  • 4 spring onions (sliced thickly)
  • 2 tbsp peanuts (crushed)
  • 2 cloves garlic (quartered)
  • 2 long green chili peppers (chopped coarsely)
  • 2 thai chile (fresh small red, chopped coarsely)
  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 700 gms ground beef
  • 6 ounces pea beans (chopped coarsely)


Heat half the oil in wok and stir-fry garlic mixture until fragrant. Blend or process garlic and chili peppers until chopped finely. Add beef and stir-fry in batches, until cooked through. Wipe wok clean and heat remaining oil. Stir-fry beans and red pepper until tender. Return beef to wok along with sauces and onion. Stir-fry until hot. Sprinkle with nuts and serve with lime wedges.
