Ingredients

  • Beef undercut ½ kg
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Onion 1 (chopped)
  • Cinnamon 2 sticks
  • Potato 2 (cubes)
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Chili powder 1 tbsp
  • All spice powder 1 tsp
  • Nutmeg mace powder ½ tsp
  • Water 1 cup
  • Tomatoes 3 (boiled, chopped)
  • Green chili 3 – 4 (chopped)
  • Peas ½ cup (boiled)
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp

Cooking Directions

  1. Wash and cut beef undercut into small cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan, add onion and cinnamon sticks.
  3. Fry till onion is tender.
  4. Now add beef pieces and fry for 2 – 3 minutes.
  5. Then add potato cubes, salt, ginger garlic paste, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric, chili powder, all spice powder, nutmeg mace powder and 1 cup water.
  6. Cover and cook on low flame for 5 – 6 minutes.
  7. Remove lid, add tomatoes, green chilies, peas and coriander leaves.
  8. Fry well on high flame till water dries.
  9. Dish it out and serve hot.

Working in batches if necessary, cook the chicken for 5-7 mins until golden and just cooked through, then remove and set aside.Put the remaining oil in the dish. Heat the oil in a saucepan over a high heat. Add the onion and stir fry for 2-3 minutes, until translucent. Add the garlic and one inch of the ginger and continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes, until just turning golden.
