  1. Akira is the most adorable person who has ever been on this show, I want to give the poor guy a hug. He's so embarrassed about the state of his restaurant and he wants to do so well, it must be extremely hard on him to see it suffer – especially considering his cultural background (he seems first generation or immigrant to me). It's nice to know at the end he does turn it around somewhat.

  2. I'm not Japanese, but I think Japanese food is so over godly delicious (if done rite), especially the sushi. The freshness of fish is so soothing the palate. Now, why would you ruin and disgrace that kind of refreshness by fusion it with pizza?
Don't get me wrong, I also love pizza. A very tasty food. But you don't mix pizza and sushi just because two of them are amazing foods. That's just plainly wrong! And you're a Japanese man dude, you should know better.

  3. Search up "Mos Burger". It's a Japanese fast food burger chain like McDonalds, except their special bun is made of rice! The also have tonkatsu ( deep fried pork cutlets ) and other Japanese teriyaki stuff in the burgers. It's super good! Sadly, it's not in North America yet 🙁

  4. sushi rice is way different from rice cooker rice.. its alot harder to make too. and it really depends on who you are. personally, i love sushi.

  5. @skeppsbrogatan What kind of sushi places have you been going to? Most sushi places also have tempura, which needs to be fried, a variety of soups, and various other things that need to be cooked. Have you ever had a dragon roll? That has tempura and broiled eel, and it is possibly one of the best things I have ever eaten.

  6. No flavour at the sushi restaurant ? No shit. That's why I don't like sushi, it's like cold and raw food with very little or no flavour at all. Apart from the rice which you can make with a rice cooker, do you really need a stove for a sushi restaurant ? Everything else is raw.

  7. I've heard of a Japanese hamburger before: the bun is made from rice, the patty is beef teriyaki, and I've heard that it's very nice, but Japanese pizza? WTF?
