A delicious recipe made with the scrumptious Soya bean chunks

SOYA MATAR MASALA

Ingredient

½ cup green peas
1 cup soya chunks, soaked in warm water
3 small onion, peeled and quarter
2 medium tomatoes, quarter
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
¼ tsp turmeric powder
1½ tsps cumin powder
1½ tsps coriander powder
½ tbsp garam masala powder
1 tbsp freshly chopped coriander
Coriander sprig for garnish

Method

1. In a blender jar, add onion, tomato and grind into fine puree and set aside
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and let the colour change.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1 minute. Add prepared onion-tomato puree, mix well and cook on high heat for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add salt, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, mix well. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
5. Add soya chunks, green peas, and garam masala powder, and mix well. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Add chopped coriander, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes.
6. Garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
