  1. It’s so hard to accept criticism of something you’ve spent time and effort on! I understand why these chefs are defensive. I’ve worked really hard in the past few years to be better at accepting and listening to constructive criticism. The main thing that’s helped me is recognizing that criticism of my work product isn’t a criticism of me as a person.

  2. If I had a kitchen of any sort. I'd still take any information or tips Ramsey can offer. Even if I am making great money.
Get behind a chef for a few days. You may learn something new even ifnyou have cooked excellently for 15 years.

  3. I don't remember where I heard this but, once you get out of school you have all this knowledge and you try to apply it all so everything you do is over complicated or aimless, I think the chef has to realize this.

  4. If you see this episode after all the US episodes and then have the balls to say "the French are so arrogant", I don't really think you understand the difference between arrogance and pride in your own work. This chef is a highly skilled one, so he does everything as best as he can, this whole "over-complicated" thing being his only weak spot. To see that he takes Gordon's critique and then inspector's critique, then grabbing himself by the balls and saying "you know what, maybe it's ME who's in the wrong" is a sign of someone who is proud enough in his work to improve when necessary and tell the naysayers to fuck off.

  5. For people claiming it's arrogance, you probably didn't catch the fact (cause I'm 100% sure you never
experienced speaking in a other language) that it's a bit hard when you're with a other person that's fully fluent and that you have to adapt yourself and speak to that same person using a different vocabulary and language especially in a very detailed discussion. It's not arrogance, he's just being shy or uncomfortable. You can tell this chef is having hard time to understand everything Gordon says (I'm used seeing those gestures and with the way he replies, you can tell it's hard for him). How would you possibly be able to reply something that is okay when you can't speak and understand clearly …

I wish some of you would actually go try to speak a other language sometimes and see how you would reply when somebody's talking to you and you're clueless….

  6. Guys it's clear from the video. This guy can't face Gordon ramsay cause he was his childhood hero. But when he gets to know that Gordon, the person who he idealized, hates his food. He feels there's no reason for his existence. He wants to cry everytime he sees Gordon. And every time he acts as if he doesn't see Gordon, because in his mind this incident never happened.

  7. Gordon all the respect for who u are and what you have accomplished in the kitchen. But on your Yt page just upload the entire episodes if you can big fan of the u.s version have not seen many u.k episodes.

  8. Man it is so refreshing to see this version of KN. An actual chef who Gordon respects as opposed to a person who cooks frozen shit in a microwave. It is almost like watching a mentor/guru with his student/apprentice. No stupid music or dramatic narration, just dry and straight to the god damn point documentary. Western society ,America, and I am ashamed to admit it but even my country Canada, can't handle TV that is this real. It really is unfortunate.

  9. nice to see an actual chef owning up and changing his menu, only making it better. He is a good chef. You can tell Gordon gives him respect.

  10. Could a chef please explain to me what the fuck's going on here? What was actually wrong with the food he was making before? So it's technically brilliant and the 'flavours are amazing' Gordon said, but massively overcomplicated? What the hell would that taste like?

  11. Clash of clans every chef is an arrogant fuck including me so even if Ramsey who is my hero tells me you doing your signature dish wrong I probably turn around and say FU. BUT in real life Ramsey is good guy and great chef
