Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yeast, warm water, and 1/4 cup granulated sugar. Let stand for 10 minutes, or until foamy.
- Stir in the salt and melted butter.
- Gradually add the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes, or until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
- Combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl.
- Spread the sugar mixture over the dough.
- Roll up the dough jelly-roll style, starting with the long side.
