Ingredients
- For Samosa:
- All purpose flour 250 gm
- Hot clarified butter ¼ cup
- Salt ½ tsp
- Carom seeds ¼ tsp
- Water as required to make dough
- For Filling:
- Potatoes 250 gm (boiled and coarsely mashed)
- Mango powder ½ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Red pepper ½ tsp heaped (crushed)
- Coriander leaves 1 tbsp (chopped)
- Green chilies 2 (finely chopped)
- Oil for deep frying
Cooking Directions
- For Filling: Mix altogether in a bowl well.
- For Samosa: Put clarified butter into a bowl add all purpose flour with salt and carom seeds gradually add in water, need to make a hard dough, knead very well.
- Make into small balls.
- Roll them in oval shape, cut in half.
- Apply water on one half side of the dough.
- Fold into a cone shape by turning edges, fill with filling.
- Press inside one edge and pleat the back sticking together to form a samosa.
- Deep fry until golden brown.
