Tamarind Drumsticks with Masala Rice Recipe in Urdu

    1. For Chicken Legs: Boil chicken legs in 1 cup of water with salt and turmeric till water dries and chicken nearly tender.
    2. In a bowl mix together tamarind pulp, chat masala, salt, ginger garlic paste, red pepper and garam masala powder. Marinate chicken legs in this mixture for half an hour.
    3. Heat oil in pan and fry drumsticks until get a nice golden color. Remove and keep aside.
    4. For Rice: Heat quarter cup oil; add salt, crushed red pepper, turmeric, coriander, cumin, ginger garlic paste, chaat masala, garam masala and chicken powder with ½ cup water. Cook for a minute.
    5. Add boiled rice, mix well and leave it on dum for 10 minutes.
    6. Dish out rice, top with drum sticks and garnish with spring onions. Serve.

    ½ kg (8) Chicken Legs
    1 tsp Salt
    ½ tsp Turmeric
    1 cup Water
    ½ cup Tamarind paste
    1 tsp Chaat masala (heaped)
    ½ tsp Salt
    1 tsp Ginger garlic paste
    ½ tsp Garam masala powder
    1 tsp Red pepper (crushed)
    Oil for shallow fry
    For Masala Rice:
    ½ kg Boiled rice
    ¼ cup Oil
    ½ tsp Salt
    1 tsp red pepper Crushed
    ¼ tsp Turmeric
    1 tsp coriander Crushed
    1 tsp Cumin (roasted & crushed)
    1 tsp Ginger garlic Paste
    1 tsp Chaat masala
    1 tsp Garam masala powder
    1 tbsp Chicken Powder
    1 cup Spring Onions (finely chopped)
