Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).

Step 2

Season the chicken pieces with sumac, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

In a large ovenproof pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the chicken on both sides. Remove and set aside.

Step 4

In the same pan, add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until golden.

Step 5

Add sliced pears to the pan and cook for 3 minutes. Return the chicken to the pan.

Step 6

Pour chicken broth over the mixture and transfer to the oven. Bake for 25 minutes.

Step 7

Prepare couscous according to package instructions. Serve chicken and pears over couscous.
