Cooking Directions

  1. Pre-heat oven at 180C.
  2. Grease and flour 13-inch cake pan.
  3. For cake: beat sugar and butter in a bowl.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla essence and beat.
  5. Mix vinegar and food color in milk and keep aside.
  6. Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt.
  7. Fold dry ingredients and milk to the mixture and pour into the greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until springy when touched.
  9. Transfer the cake to the wire rack and let it cool.
  10. Halve the cake and spread vanilla butter on one piece of cake and cover with other piece.
  11. Cover all over cake with frosting.
  12. For frosting: Beat butter.
  13. Keep adding icing sugar slowly and continue beating.
  14. Add vanilla essence and beat until fluffy.
  15. Spoon the frosting over cake and serve.
