Directions

Step 1

Soak the rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

Heat ghee in a pot, add sliced onions and fry until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

Step 3

Add garlic paste and ginger paste to the pot. Stir fry for 2 minutes.

Step 4

Add chicken pieces, yogurt, salt, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Cook until chicken is tender.

Step 5

In another pot, boil rice until 70% cooked. Drain and layer over the chicken.

Step 6

Sprinkle saffron soaked in warm milk over the rice. Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.

Step 7

Garnish with fried onions and serve hot.
