Directions

Step 1

Rinse and soak the basmati rice for 30 minutes, then drain.

In a pot, boil water and add rice, cooking until it is 70% done. Drain and set aside.

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, garlic, ginger, and spices. Let it sit for an hour.

Step 4

Fry sliced onions until golden brown.

Step 5

Remove and set aside half of them for garnish.

Step 6

In the same pot, add marinated chicken and cook until fully done.

Step 7

Layer the chicken with rice, adding saffron and fried onions between layers. Cover and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.
