Directions

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin, coriander, and garam masala for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Soak the basmati rice in water for 20 minutes, then drain.

Step 3

Fry the onions in a pan until golden brown, then set aside.

Step 4

In a large pot, cook the marinated chicken until fully cooked.

Add soaked rice on top of the chicken.

Sprinkle saffron and half of the fried onions.

Step 7

Cover the pot and cook on low heat until the rice is tender.

Step 8

Garnish with remaining fried onions and serve hot.
