Directions

Step 1

Wash and soak jasmine rice for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pot. Fry onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

Step 3

Add ginger, garlic, and chicken to the pot. Cook until chicken is browned.

Step 4

Add yogurt, cardamom, cloves, and cumin. Stir well.

Step 5

Cover and cook for 15 minutes.

Step 6

Boil water in a separate pot. Add soaked rice and cook until 70% done.

Step 7

Layer rice over chicken mixture. Sprinkle saffron and rose water. Cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes.

Step 8

Serve hot, garnished with fried onions.
