Step 1
Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak in water for 30 minutes. Drain before cooking.

In a large pot, heat oil and fry onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

In another pot, boil water with salt. Add rice and cook until half done. Drain and layer over chicken.
Step 6
Sprinkle mint and coriander leaves on top.
Step 7
Cover tightly and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
