Directions

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, garlic, ginger, green chili, garam masala, and salt for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a large pot, add onions and fry until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing.

Step 3

Add the marinated chicken to the pot and cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender.

Step 4

In another pot, boil rice with a pinch of salt until 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.

Step 5

Layer the cooked chicken and rice in the pot. Sprinkle saffron and mint leaves on top.

Step 6

Cover the pot with a tight lid and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Garnish with fried onions before serving.
