Directions

Step 1

Clean the Rui fish thoroughly and cut it into medium-sized pieces. Pat dry with a paper towel.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix mustard paste, turmeric powder, salt, and lemon juice. Coat the fish pieces with this mixture evenly.

Step 3

Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.

Step 4

Add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.

Step 5

Place marinated fish pieces over the onions. Add slit green chilies on top.

Step 6

Pour water around the fish. Cover the pan and steam for 15-20 minutes on low heat until the fish is cooked through.

Step 7

Garnish with coriander leaves before serving hot with steamed rice.
