Directions

Step 1

Soak saffron threads in warm water and set aside. Soak figs in water for 15 minutes and blend into a paste.

Heat oil in a pan, add onions, and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.

Add chicken pieces to the pan and cook until they turn white. Stir in fig paste and mix well.

Add yogurt to the chicken, along with coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook for 5 minutes.

Add saffron water and garam masala to the pan. Cover and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Once the chicken is cooked and the gravy thickens, remove from heat. Serve hot with naan or rice.
