Directions
Step 1
Soak saffron in warm water for 10 minutes. Rinse basmati rice and soak for 20 minutes.

In a pot, heat ghee and add cumin seeds, cinnamon, and cardamom.

Fry until fragrant.

Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown. Add ginger and garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes.

Add chicken pieces and cook until they are lightly browned. Stir in yogurt and cook for 5 more minutes.

Add soaked rice and saffron water to the pot. Mix well and add salt to taste.
Step 7
Add enough water to cook the rice. Cover and cook on low heat until the rice is fully cooked and fluffy.
