Directions

Step 1

Soak saffron in warm milk and set aside. Rinse rice until water runs clear and soak for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Marinate chicken with yogurt, cream, ginger, garlic, chili, garam masala, and salt for 1 hour.

Step 3

Heat oil in a pan and fry onions until golden brown.

Step 4

Remove half for garnishing.

Step 5

Add marinated chicken to the pan and cook until chicken is tender.

Step 6

Boil rice with salt and drain when 70% cooked. Layer rice and chicken in a pot.

Step 7

Drizzle saffron milk over the top, cover, and cook on low heat for 20 minutes.

Step 8

Garnish with fried onions and cilantro before serving.
