Directions

Step 1

Peel the pointed gourds and slit them lengthwise without cutting through completely.

Grind mustard seeds, coriander leaves, green chilies, and a little water into a smooth paste.

Step 3

Add turmeric powder, salt, and sugar to the paste.

Step 4

Mix the mustard paste with mustard oil and coat the pointed gourds thoroughly.

Step 5

Place the gourds in a steamer and pour the remaining paste over them.

Step 6

Steam the pointed gourds for about 30 minutes until they are tender and cooked through.
