Recipe Cooking Method:

Step 1

Blend together black gram, green chilies and ginger to a fine paste. Transfer into a bowl, add salt and whisk well.

Step 2

Heat sufficient oil in a karhai. Drop small portions of the mixture into hot oil and deep-fry till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 3

Break vadas into small pieces and place on a serving platter. Top with some yogurt, onions and tomatoes. Drizzle green chutney and tamarind chutney and sprinkle some coriander leaves. Top with some more yogurt, coriander leaves, chili powder and chaat masala.

Step 4

Serve immediately.
