Directions

Heat milk and cream in a saucepan over medium flame until it begins to simmer. Do not boil.

In a separate bowl, whisk egg yolks with sugar until the mixture turns pale and creamy.

Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the egg mixture while stirring continuously to prevent curdling.
