Aloo Cholay Recipe in Urdu
1/2 kg Potatoesboil, peel, cut in small pieces
1/2 kg Chickpeas30 minutes wash and soak in water for
1/2 cup Masoor lentilwashed
4 Tomatoesfinely chopped
6 Green chilliesfinely chopped
1/2 Mint bunchfinely chopped
3 Onionsmedium, sliced fine, soaked in salted water
2 Lemonscut in eight pieces
1 tsp Soda bicarbonate
1/2 tbsp Cumin seedsroasted and powdered
1/2 tsp Sonth powdered
1/2 tbsp Chaat masala
Sweet and sour tamarind chutney as needed
Salt to taste
Aloo Cholay Recipe is a very famous dish relate to Pakistani Food, Aloo Cholay almost served at every restaurant and we can easily make it at home as well, Especially Aloo Cholay is a very instant and popular recipe you can make it for lunch, breakfast or for dinner as well.
Recipe Cooking Method:
Drain the chickpeas. In a large pan combine chickpeas with masoor daal add water and bring to boil.
Turn down heat add soda bicarbonate.
Cook till tender. Remove from heat, add sonth, salt and a little cumin seed powder and mix well.
Serve the remaining ingredients in separate small dishes; do not add to the chaat, before serving.

Chaat spoils quickly if onion, tomatoes and potatoes are added in with it.
