This is Unique ….home-made popcorn is a Fav snack….however this Reminds me of the first time I had soufflé on a tea estate in the Annamalais …. it looked Delicious and my first bite had me nearly gaging on the raw egg white element …. I made the husband eat my share as it was a pvt dinner for the 2 of us when we just reached Tamil Nadu and no way I could insult the host by leaving a half eaten bowl of the sweet dish!!!! …I never even try soufflé after that day …even if it is a baked soufflé …lol …. soufflé with or without raw egg and petu ….two things I could never eat post marriage …. I learnt to make petu with brinjal and rice and used to make it often …..however I never ate it or gave it to my elder child …. my F-I-L would keep suggesting I eat it as I am an Assamese buari et all …. I can never get myself to eat petu …. liked the way you roasted crab yesterday….Never seen anything like it before ….though Mallus eat loads of crab ….no one in Kerala does anything like that …. crab is one of my Fav sea food 🙂
