National’s Chana recipe in Urdu
Mutton chops 1 kg
Chickpeas 250 gm (boiled)
Yogurt 250 gm
Green chilies 8 – 10
Tomatoes 2 – 3 (chopped)
Onion 2 – 3 (chopped)
White cumin powder 1 tsp
National Red chili powder 2 tbsp
Onion seeds ½ tsp
Soda 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Garlic 3 tbsp (chopped)
Ginger 2 tbsp (chopped)
Coriander ½ bunch (chopped)
Oil 3 – 4 tbsp
National Salt as required

Soak the chickpeas over night with baking soda. Then boil them till soft.
In a mixing bowl add the yogurt, National ginger, garlic, National turmeric powder, National red chili powder, National cumin powder and salt.
Add the chops and put aside for 1 hour.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the onion.
Then add the tomatoes and chops and fry till the oil floats on top.
Now add the chickpeas along with 2 cups of water and cook on a low flame.
Before the mixture dries add the green chilies and onion seeds.
Dish out and garnish with chopped coriander.
