Horizontally slit pavs stuffed with spicy keema mixture, grated cheese and baked to make this cheesy pull apart.

KEEMA PAV PULL APART – (Serves – 4)

Ingredients

500 grams mutton mince (keema)
8 pavs
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
2 large onions, finely chopped
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies, diagonally sliced
2 medium tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tablespoon red chilli powder
¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
2 teaspoons coriander powder
Salt to taste
½ cup green peas, boiled
Juice of 1 lemon
4 emmental cheese slices
4 cheddar cheese slices

Method

1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add cumin seeds and sauté till seeds change colour. Add onions and sauté till translucent.
3. Add ginger-garlic paste and mix well. Add green chillies, mutton mince, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add tomatoes, mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and mix well.
5. Add some water and mix. Add salt and mix. Add green peas, some more water, mix, cover and cook for 2-3 minutes. Add lemon juice and mix.
6. Halve pavs horizontally. Spread cooked mutton mixture on base pav halves, top with emmental and cheddar cheese slices and cover with remaining pav halves.
7. Place pav on a baking tray and cover with aluminium foil. Put the tray in the prehated oven and bake for 15 minutes.
8. Serve hot.
