Hydrating Energizing Smoothie

This Hydrating Energizing Smoothie translates into joy for every cell of your body! With the vibrant colour of spinach, a tempting tinge of basil and the ever-popular fruity flavour of bananas, this smoothie is a sure-shot hit with everybody. Avocadoes give it a really luscious mouth-feel while chia seeds add to its health quotient and improve the texture further. An ideal food to have in the morning, this smoothie is sure to energize your day. It is full of antioxidants that keep you stress free. Effective against pimples and acne, this smoothie is also loaded with fibre that maintains the health of your gut and aids in weight loss. Goodness in every sip, it will pay to start your day with this lovely smoothie!

Preparation Time: 15 minutes.
Cooking Time: Nil.
Makes 2 glasses.

1½ cups spinach (palak), torn into pieces
1 cup basil
¼ cup coconut milk (nariyal ka doodh)
¼ cup roughly chopped avocado
½ cup roughly chopped banana
½ tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp soaked falooda seeds (subza)
1 tbsp soaked chia seeds

1. Combine all the ingredients, except the falooda seeds and chia seeds in a mixer along with 1 cup of water and blend till smooth.
2. Pour equal quantities of the smoothie into 2 individual glasses and top it with 1 tbsp of soaked falooda seeds and ½ tbsp of chia seeds in each glass.
Serve immediately.
