  1. that guy in the black shirt is an asshole and a idiot, he tries to be funny but just comes off as an idiot. gordon has a tremendous amount of patience to tolerate that moron.

  2. I'm confused.  I learned to make white sauce with milk and corn starch, not flour.  My grandmother would yell at me if I tried using flour telling me we were making white sauce not paste.  My mom would try to make it like this with flour and my grandmother told her to stay out of the kitchen.  But now I see Gordon Ramsay making it with flour.  Oh and my old cookbooks from 100 years ago say use corn starch.  Why flour instead of corn starch?

  3. I don't know too much about this Johnny Vegas fellow and I'm not going to rag on him, but his yelling and screaming was annoying tbh. I came here to watch Gordon cook not get a headache lol

  4. To everybody bitching about Johnny Vegas,
he's not disrespecting or interrupting Gordon at all; this behavior is "what he does", Gordon and the producers would have known this because it's blindingly obvious that if you invite a celebrity onto your cooking show, they are meant to be who they are popular for during the entire production.
If they were to just simmer down and be like just a normal, boring, vapid member of the public, then they would only CAST a normal, boring, vapid member of the public.

  5. its so simple to make once you've done it a few times, i don't even have to look at measurements anymore, and lasagne is such a handy thing to make,

  6. @silvermediastudio he plays the persona of a bumbling fool and he does it very well to the point that it is entertaining to people. It doesn't win over everyone, those who don't find it funny would probably find him annoying.

  7. @silvermediastudio Im a viewer from the USA too but even tho Jonny Vegas yells a lot, if you listen to what he says itll make you laugh too. U just have to get used to the accent

  8. "Keep me informed, that's all I ask!"

    3 TB butter
    3TB flour (w 1/4 tsp salt)
    1-1/2 cups milk

melt the butter over medium heat, add the flour and salt, and whisk together vigorously to make a roux. Add the milk 1/2 cup at a time, allow sauce to thicken each time and then add the next 1/2 cup of milk. Perfect every time.

  9. @silvermediastudio The irony of an American complaining that our comedy isn't funny because we laugh at people who do "lots of yelling and whining"

  10. @silvermediastudio He's a stand-up comedian but he's also been on tv programs or so. It's his sense of humour really, it's appealing. His choice of words and what he says, sarcasm or whatever, combined with his voice. He's just a daft guy we love to laugh at, but a lot of Brits find him annoying i think.

  11. As a viewer from the USA, I don't get Jonny Vegas.. just seems like a lot of yelling and whining. It's a simple pan roux with cheese and he's howling like somebody ran over his puppy dog. Who is this guy and why do the Brits find him amusing?
