  1. Jamie, any chance you can do a short video on the most important knives for home cooks? I'd like to see the video name good brands for a wide range of budgets, if possible.

I know it's probably a lot to ask and that you maybe have done it before…. but I do not recall seeing it. I think the way your videos are normally presented will make a great video for this most important kitchen tool.

  2. Cool @***** ! I have never used a whole chili before (only pepper flakes) so this is making me want to! I will have to try a recipe with whole chili and try this! I love spicy food! 🙂

  3. OK, question. Is it the membrane or the seeds that give the most heat? I'm hearing membrane (and feeling it too, ouch). Er, second question: I thought the seeds had been cultivated such that you couldn't regrow a plant from them – I know this is true of toms, or, at leas, certain varieties.

  4. You can plant most of the chilis you can buy, but be aware of certain types of breeds (F1 for example). They are made so that the seeds either do nothing when put into the ground or produce a completely different and possibly bad tasting fruit.

  5. Im an absolute idiot more so when it comes to cooking so pardon me if i ask why do you have to take the seeds out? Is it a must or just an option?

  6. You just ruined a perfect chili,  if you want to take the seeds out just cut the top off and roll the chili in your hands (upside down ofcourse). You'll leave the flesh and some heat inside instead of turning it into paprika/bell pepper

  7. Ok. Just cooked with chili, and while eating food with chili I was looking for chili type I used. Then I rubbed my eye with my chili hands!
Can it get more chili than that? 😀 Damn it burns!

  8. As a latin America n I was given a raw jelap eno shoved on to my face and have it burn for not listening as a kid. On the other hand serranos habaneros jalapenos with green tomatoes boiled for 10 min on high blend it witj some garlic and salt that's serious heat man. Perfect for.eggs or seared steak then simmering with chilie sauce omg its felt to ur forhead and sweat .and ifbur seeds are brown or uncolored its lost some heat.
