Janet Street Porter takes delivery of the horse meat she ordered in France. Restaurateur Alain LHermitte shows Janet a great recipe for horse steak with shallot, garlic and thyme. She named the horse Gordon before it was slaughtered. Janet tries to tempt horse lovers to eat the meat too.

  1. As a tradition, our nation kill, boil and eat the horse meat. And believe me, it’s taste too good to exist. I’ve seen many horses getting killed in my childhood, got shocked when i saw it first but later i got told that they’re grown in a farm just to be eaten and nothing else. So it’s like eating a cow who’s destiny is to die just to satisfy people’s appetite. And i see nothing wrong eating it

  2. We are often critical of people who eat animals we keep as pets. Really, a dog, a fish, a bird, or a horse is as much a lower animal as a cow.

  3. These people are monsters! How dare they eat horses. Just stick with the stupid cows and chicken.. leave the almighty horse alone.

  4. Honestly if I saw this girl in public trying to convince people to eat meat I would go up and yell at her. An animal that could do so much more for you other than 5 minutes of palate pleasure. Horses and all other animals are beautiful and have the capacity to feel emotions and create friendships with humans. The fact animals are treated with such disrespect is disgusting.

  5. people the thing is you can't to anything with chickens you can't ride it same with fish and cows cause their not the best friend or helps us in war and if their were no horse you couldn't ride anywhere long ago horses helped is in many situations cows and the others fish not they don't have a lot of history

  6. Wild horses in the U.S. are an invasive species yet we are not even allowed to hunt them to help preserve our wilderness areas for natural animals . Politics and bullshit cow persons.

  7. idk its like the same reason people r so against eating dogs and cats . i mean you really cant train and ride a cow like a horse. i personally tried it its good nothing wrong with the flavor but .. not for me
