Interesting! I never knew bay leaves could be used for sweet dishes like steamed pudding! I usually use bay leaves for stocks and savory dishes like chicken and dumplings or stir fry.
My Mother traditionally would make her Molasses Pudding in a cloth bag, but my sister does it this way.
