Learn to make delicious Chocolate flavoured Naankhatai in Punjabi.

CHOCOLATE NAAN KHATAI

Ingredients

1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 cup refined flour
½ cup gram flour (besan)
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp coffee powder
2 tbsps almond meal
1 cup powdered sugar
A pinch of salt
½ cup ghee
Chocolate syrup to drizzle

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 160˚C.
2. Sift refined flour in a bowl. Sift together and add gram flour, baking powder, baking soda, coffee powder, cocoa powder and almond meal. Add powdered sugar, salt and mix well.
3. Add ghee in mixture and mix well to form medium soft dough.
4. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Divide the dough into equal portions. Shape each portions into balls and slightly flatten them. Transfer on the tray. Make small dent in centre of cookies.
5. Transfer the tray in a preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes. Remove and allow to cool down.
6. Drizzle chocolate syrup in a serving platter. Transfer the cookies.
7. Serve as required.
