Delicious chicken cooked in flavourful sauces and served in a burger bun.
CHILLI CHICKEN BURGER
Ingredients
2 burger buns, halved and toasted
400 gms boneless chicken, cut into cubes
2 tbsps cornstarch
1 egg
Salt to taste
1 tsp black pepper powder
1 tbsp oil + to deep fry
1 tbsps chopped garlic
1-2 green chillies, chopped
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsps soya sauce
1 tsp red chilli sauce
1 medium capsicum, cut into cubes
1 medium onion, cut into cubes and layers separated
½ cup chicken stock
Spring onion greens, for garnish
Method
1. Heat oil for deep frying.
2. Marinate the chicken with cornstarch, egg, salt, ½ tsp crushed black pepper and mix well.
3. Deep fry in hot oil till golden.
4. Heat oil in a non-stick wok. Add garlic, green chillies and chopped onions and sauté. Add soya sauce, chilli sauce, capsicum, onions, remaining black pepper powder, salt and toss well. Add ½ cup chicken stock and mix.
5. Add fried chicken pieces and spring onion greens. Turn of the heat and keep aside.
6. Place the bottom half of the burger buns on serving place. Place a ring mould over it and fill the chilli chicken mixture into it. Remove the ring mould.
7. Cover with top half of the bun and serve immediately.
