Directions

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger, garlic, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions until golden brown. Remove half for layering later.

Step 3

Add marinated chicken to the pan and cook until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Boil rice with salt until 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.

Step 5

In a large pot, layer half of the rice, add cooked chicken, and top with remaining rice.

Step 6

Sprinkle saffron dissolved in warm water over the rice.

Step 7

Top with fried onions and cover tightly.

Step 8

Cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander.
