Directions

Step 1

Dry roast the moong dal in a pan until golden brown. Rinse and set aside.

In a pot, add roasted moong dal and water. Cook until dal is soft and mushy.

Grind mustard seeds, cilantro, and green chilies into a smooth paste.

Step 4

Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until golden.

Step 5

Add the mustard paste, turmeric, and salt to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes.

Step 6

Mix the cooked dal into the mustard mixture. Mash thoroughly and cook for another 5 minutes.
