Directions
Step 1
Rinse the moong dal under running water until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for 15 minutes.
Step 2
In a pot, add soaked dal and 2 cups of water. Cook until the dal becomes soft.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Step 4
Add chopped garlic and onion to the pan. Sauté until golden brown.
Step 5
Add turmeric powder and chopped green chili. Stir well.
Step 6
Add cooked moong dal to the pan. Mix and cook for 5 minutes.

Add chopped coriander leaves and salt. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes before serving.
