Directions

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with yogurt, turmeric, cumin, ginger, garlic, and salt for 30 minutes.

Step 2

Soak the basmati rice in water for 20 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

Fry sliced onions in a pan until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Step 4

In the same pan, cook marinated chicken until it is tender and the spices are well absorbed.

Step 5

Boil the rice in water with a pinch of saffron until 70% cooked. Drain and layer over the chicken.

Step 6

Cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes. Garnish with fried onions and green chili.
