Directions

Step 1

Marinate the chicken in yogurt, garlic paste, ginger paste, and salt for at least 1 hour.

Fry onions until golden brown. Set aside half for layering.

In a pot, cook marinated chicken with cardamom and cloves until tender.

Parboil the rice with saffron and salt. Drain and set aside.

Layer the pot with half of the rice.

Spread chicken and fried onions over the rice.

Step 7

Top with remaining rice.

Cover the pot with pastry dough, sealing the edges. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 30 minutes.
