Directions

Step 1

Soak saffron in 2 Tbsp of warm water and set aside. Blend almonds into a fine paste with a little water.

Step 2

Heat oil in a kadhai, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.

Step 3

Add ginger and garlic paste, sauté for 2 minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft.

Step 4

Add chicken pieces, mix well, and cook until they turn white. Stir in coriander powder and garam masala.

Step 5

Pour in almond paste and saffron water, stir and cook on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Step 6

Garnish with fresh coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
