Directions

Step 1

Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. Set aside.

Step 2

Soak the hijiki in a bowl of water for 30 minutes. Drain and set aside.

Peel and julienne the carrot.

In a pot, combine the rice, soaked hijiki, carrot, edamame, and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes.
